Best Camp

2nd place :'(

on the weekend there was finals hockey in ALice Springs Between desert sharks and CENTRALS. IT was a great game where i was put in centre foward and when Sharks had the ball i was to tag the fittest bloke on their team to try and wear him down(some random bold guy). The first half started with with us CENTRALS starting with the ball and we took off down the feild making it to the goal but missing. At about the 19th min Sharks scored from a short corner with the ball being hit in and there post player touching it into the goals with a sloppy play. Me and all the other Centrals players face dropped for a short time till the encouraging words from Steve brought our hopes back up and lit a fire in our eyes. The first half went back and forth with neither team scoring again. At half time we sat down in the shad outside of the 36 degree heat and had a nice talk about how we could have done better and how the game is still there for us. The next half started with me in inner and when in defence tagging one of the twins. we then set on a mission and scored the next goal. Steve hit in a ball with great pace and scored. Then about 5mins later Desert Sharks scored again. This time we all kept our heads high with only 10mins to go we new we had a job. the ball went back and forth with both teams having near misses for bout 8mins. There was about 2mins to of the game when dean Ryan got the ball and shot off down the feild he passed one person easly look to his left and right realising he was by himself he kept going. he got to the next person and skilfuly jumped the ball over the other persons stick, made it to the circle had a shot and to our horror missed. we then congradulated dean on his hard run and finished the rest of the game.
